Euh… incroyable, c'est un grand mot, hein ? Disons que c'est… nettement mieux. J'ai eu des phares de merde pendant tellement longtemps, genre ceux qui te donnaient l'impression de rouler avec des bougies. J'étais tellement habitué à cligner des yeux et à me demander si j'allais finir dans un fossé parce qu'on ne voyait RIEN. Puis, j'ai installé ces machins. La différence... c'est comme passer de la télé en noir et blanc à la 4K. Mais, ATTENTION : ils sont VRAIMENT puissants. J'ai presque ébloui un pauvre cycliste une fois. J'ai dû lui faire des excuses pendant 10 minutes à un feu rouge. Embarrassant, mais bon… on voit du coup.
L'installation, c'est facile pour un… euh… disons, pas mécanicien ?
Facile… Hum. Écoutez, je suis le genre de personne qui galère à monter un meuble IKEA. Pour vous donner une idée. Et gardez de l'aspirine à portée de main.

C'est une EXCELLENTE question ! Et oui, comme je le disais un peu plus haut, c'est puissant. J'ai eu des sueurs froides. J'ai vraiment peur de devenir l'ennemi public numéro un des autres conducteurs. J'essaie de faire attention, de bien régler l'orientation des phares. Et j'ai même investi dans des lunettes de soleil polarisées pour moi… ça n'aide pas toujours. Mais bon, on voit tellement bien maintenant la nuit, c’est le gros bonus. C’est une question d’équilibre. Il faut trouver le bon réglage. Ce serait dommage de gâcher votre vision de la route pour la bonne conscience… Mais bon, si vous éblouissez quelqu'un, soyez sympa et clignez des phares en guise d'excuse. C’est ça la vie, non?

Alors, là, on touche à un sujet sensible. Apparemment, c'est pas "légal" légal. Vous voyez le genre. Dans le pire des cas, on vous dit de remettre les anciennes ampoules. Dans le meilleur des cas, l'inspecteur est cool et ne dit rien. Perso, je suis passé, mais j'ai un peu prié avant. Ça dépend de votre chance, et de l'humeur de l'inspecteur. C'est un peu la roulette russe. Mais franchement, vu la différence de vision, j'assume le risque. Vous faites comme vous voulez.
J'ai lu quelque part que ça chauffe. C'est un problème?
Oh, oui, ça chauffe. Mais, on parle de température, pas du genre "incendie spontané". Ces ampoules ont des systèmes de refroidissement genre des ventilateurs intégrés. J'ai pas remarqué de problème particulier. Mais il faut faire gaffe à pas les obstruer quand vous les installez. Sinon… oui, ça risque de chauffer, et peut-être de ne plus éclairer très longtemps. Alors, faites attention !
Ça coûte cher ?
Euh... Pas donné, mais pas le truc le plus cher que j'ai acheté. On va dire… raisonnable, comparé à la qualité. Si vous comparez ça au prix de finir dans un fossé parce que vous ne voyez rien… Bah, c'est vite rentabilisé. Pensez à la tranquillité d'esprit ! Et à ne plus vous sentir comme un aveugle sur la route. Le prix, pour moi, ça valait le coup. Perso, je suis content de mon achat !
Y'a-t-il des inconvénients, franchement ?
Oui, bien sûr. L'installation, ça peut agacer. L'éblouissement potentiel d'autres conducteurs, c'est un peu stressant. Et le fait que ce ne soit peut-être pas légal à 100%... ça peut refroidir. Mais PAR CONTRE ! ... Un soir, il pleuvait des cordes, genre l'apocalypse, et avec ces phares, j'ai enfin vu la route ! J'ai vraiment vu ce qui se passait. J'ai vu les marquages au sol. J'ai vu le mec en vélo qui allait traverser. J'ai même évité un putain de trou dans la chaussée que je n'aurais JAMAIS vu avec mes anciens phares. Sérieux, ce soir-là, je me suis senti comme un super-héros ! J'ai vraiment sauvé ma peau ! C'est à ça que ça sert, ce genre de truc, non ?
