C'est quoi, cette bête de l'autoradio Android 14 pour ma vieille Octavia A7 ?
Alors, disons-le franchement : c'est comme si on refaisait TOUTE votre voiture. Enfin, presque. Imaginez : votre vieille radio Skoda, avec ses touches qui tremblent et son écran monochrome, qui se transforme en un truc… genre… de film de science-fiction ! C'est un écran géant Android 14, avec tout ce que ça implique : GPS, WiFi, CarPlay sans fil (pour la pomme), et plein d'applications. C’est comme si vous aviez greffé un téléphone géant dans votre tableau de bord. Et croyez-moi, après, vous ne pourrez plus vous passer de cette bidouille ! (parce que je sais, j'en ai mis un dans ma bagnole, et j'ai failli pleurer de joie la première fois que j'ai pu streamer Spotify sans fil !)
Le montage, c'est facile ? Genre… vraiment facile ? Je suis une buse en bricolage…
Hum… Facile… Ça dépend. Si vous savez différencier un tournevis cruciforme d'un tournevis plat, et si vous savez lire une notice (et surtout, suivre la notice… l'erreur que j'ai faite en premier !), oui, c'est faisable. Mais ATTENTION ! Il y a des fils à brancher… et des clips à déclipser… et là, je vous le dis, on risque de suer. J'ai failli tout foutre en l'air lors du montage. En gros, vous pouvez vous débrouiller, mais prévoyez de l'aspirine, de la patience, et peut-être, une bière pour la récompense. Et si vous êtes vraiment, vraiment nul, demandez de l'aide. La honte, c'est de flinguer votre nouvelle radio, pas de demander des conseils !
Anecdote: Je me souviens, la première fois, j'ai cru que j'avais tout bien fait. Et puis… plus rien. L'écran restait noir. J'ai cru mourir. Après deux heures de panique, j'ai réalisé que j'avais juste oublié de brancher un petit fil. Un petit fil ! J'ai failli jeter l'autoradio par la fenêtre !

Le GPS ? C'est le pied ! Fini les cartes papier qui s'envolent et les disputes avec la passagère (qui a toujours raison, évidemment !). Celui-ci est intégré et utilise Google Maps, Waze (mon préféré ! avec les alertes radars, c'est le bonheur !). Il est rapide, précis, et vous évite de vous retrouver perdu au milieu de nulle part, comme une fois où… bon, je ne vais pas remuer le couteau dans la plaie… Disons juste que j'ai fait 200 bornes de plus à cause d'un GPS hasardeux. CELUI-CI, c'est du solide !
CarPlay sans fil… ça marche vraiment, sans fils qui traînent ? C'est le rêve !
Ah, CarPlay sans fil… C'est, je vous le jure, une des meilleures inventions de l'humanité (après la pizza, bien sûr). Imaginez : vous montez dans votre voiture, hop, votre iPhone se connecte automatiquement. Spotify, Plans, appels… tout ça, sans sortir le fil de votre poche. MAGIQUE ! Le seul problème ? Parfois, il faut un peu de temps pour que ça se connecte, genre… 5 secondes. Mais bon, on ne va pas chipoter pour si peu ! C'est quand même la classe !
Rage et frustration: Y'a une fois, j'étais pressé, super pressé. Genre, vraiment, VRAIMENT pressé. Et là, CarPlay refusait obstinément de se connecter. J'ai failli balancer mon iPhone à travers le pare-brise ! Finalement, après un redémarrage (de l'iPhone, pas de l'autoradio, heureusement), ça a marché. Mais j'ai perdu cinq minutes précieuses !
Et pour les applis, c'est comment ? On peut installer ce qu'on veut ?
C'est Android, donc… oui ! Vous avez accès au Google Play Store. Vous pouvez installer Spotify, Deezer, Waze, YouTube (pour les longs trajets, ou quand on est coincé dans les bouchons, c'est VITAL !), et toutes les applis que vous voulez. Le seul "hic" (si on peut appeler ça un hic) c'est que l'interface est un peu différente de votre téléphone. Mais on s'y fait vite. Moi, je suis déjà accro à l'écran plus grand pour regarder des vidéos pendant que j'attends (ne le dites à personne !)
La qualité sonore, c'est mieux que mon ancien autoradio pourri ?
OUI ! Imaginez, votre son, comme… débarrassé d'un voile ! C'est plus clair, plus puissant, plus… waouh ! (je sais, le vocabulaire est… disons… limité, mais c'est la vérité !). Vous redécouvrirez votre musique ! J'ai réécouté tous mes albums préférés, et j'ai ENFIN compris les paroles ! C'est une révolution !
Y a-t-il des inconvénients ? Genre… vraiment ?
Hélas, oui… il y a quelques trucs. Le principal ? Le prix. C'est pas donné. Faut le dire. En plus, l’écran prend des traces de doigts. C'est pénible. Et parfois, Android… bug. Ça arrive. Mais bon, en général, un redémarrage règle le problème. Et on ne va pas non plus se plaindre pour si peu ! Et puis, il faut s'habituer un peu à l'interface. Ce n'est pas toujours hyper intuitif au début. Et puis, c’est un peu dommage, je crois qu'il n'y a pas la radio DAB intégrée, enfin, chez moi en tout cas…
Défauts révélés: J'ai un peu galéré avec les réglages audio au départ. Je n'arrivais pas à avoir le son parfait. J'ai passé des heures à trifouiller les réglages. J'ai failli tout casser
