Alors… Ces LED, vraiment la peine ? La réponse longue et sinueuse…
Oh là là, la question qui tue ! Genre, est-ce que ces trucs vont vraiment métamorphoser ma bagnole en…en… *quelque chose* de mieux ? Je vous l'avoue, j'étais super sceptique. Genre, "encore des gadgets qui vont griller après trois semaines et me coûter un bras". Mon pote, Fabien, il a dit "Vas-y, fonce, c'est la révolution !" Fabien, il est du genre à croire aux extraterrestres et à la magie, donc j'ai hésité.
Bon, je me suis lancé, à contrecœur. Et…et… *honnêtement*… ça a changé la donne. Pas au point de transformer ma clio de 2008 en vaisseau spatial, hein. Mais. ça a quand même fait un *vrai* changement. Plus brillant, plus moderne, plus… *moi*. C'est bête, je sais, mais ça a un côté gratifiant de voir sa voiture se démarquer un peu des autres. On dirait qu'elle cligne de l’œil. Sérieusement !
Mais attention, il y a des bémols… faut pas non plus s'emballer. J'ai mis une heure, dans le garage, avec mes mains couvertes de graisse, j'ai juré plus d'une fois… Le manuel… c'était du mandarin pour moi. Et oh, les clips de fixation…ces minuscules saletés… ils sont à deux doigts de me rendre fou ! Mais une fois installées…ah, le résultat ! Facile... c'est un grand mot. Disons… *relatif*. Si vous êtes du genre à bricoler tranquillement, à lire attentivement les instructions (ce que je n'ai *pas* fait au début, grosse erreur), et à ne pas avoir peur de vous salir les mains… oui, c'est faisable. J'ai dit *faisable*, pas *facile*.
J'ai une anecdote. La première, je me suis retrouvé bloqué avec un feu qui refusait obstinément de rentrer dans son logement. J'ai tiré…j'ai forcé… j'ai failli tout casser ! J'étais persuadé que c'était un défaut. J'étais *furieux* ! Mais après avoir lu… *enfin*… les instructions (après 20 minutes de galère), j'ai pigé qu'il fallait juste… tourner légèrement le truc. Un tour ! Un *putain* de tour ! J'avais l'air…ridicule. Mais bon, le résultat valait le coup, je pense.
Conseil vital : Prenez votre temps, rangez les enfants, et préparez-vous à quelques jurons (c'est thérapeutique, on dirait). Et oui, oubliez le "plug and play", faut un peu de bidouille !

OUI ! Un grand, franc et bruyant OUI ! La différence est… *hallucinante*. Sous la pluie, c'est le jour et la nuit (sans mauvais jeu de mots). Avant, j'avais l'impression d'être aveugle, surtout de nuit, sur ces routes de campagne. Maintenant… c'est comme si j'avais un phare de bateau ! Je vois enfin où je vais !
L'autre jour, il y avait un brouillard à couper au couteau. Ma femme, elle paniquait. Moi, j'étais là, serein, avec mes nouveaux feux LED. Elle a dit (et je cite) : "Mais…c'est quoi ces phares ? Tu vois tout !". Ça m'a fait sourire. C'était le moment de gloire.
(Bon, il faut quand même faire attention à ne pas éblouir les autres, hein. Faut bien régler les feux après l'installation! Sinon, les autres conducteurs vont vraiment hurler, et ça, c'est pas top.)
Et niveau durée de vie ? J'ai pas envie de devoir les changer tous les mois…
Hum… là, c'est un peu tôt pour le dire de manière définitive. Ça fait quelques mois que je les ai installés. Pour l'instant, ça tient le coup. J'espère que ça va durer. J'ai lu que les LED, c'est censé durer beaucoup plus longtemps que les ampoules classiques.
Je vous donne un update dans un an, promis. Mais pour l'instant, aucun signe de faiblesse. On croise les doigts. *Surtout* les doigts ! J'ai pas envie de remettre ça, installer des ampoules, c'est vraiment pas mon truc. Enfin… je prie pour que ça dure, sinon je vais être *vraiment* dégoûté !

Ça dépend. Comparé à des ampoules classiques, oui, c'est plus cher. Mais quand on compare à des feux LED d'origine, ou à faire une réparation chez le garagiste… c'est beaucoup moins cher ! Disons que c'est un investissement. Un investissement qui peut vous faire économiser de l'argent sur le long terme, parce que les LED, ça consomme moins d'énergie et ça dure plus longtemps (théoriquement, je vous le rappelle!).
Après, faut comparer les prix. Regardez les avis. Ne vous jetez pas sur le premier truc venu, faites vos recherches. Moi, j'ai pris un peu cher pour des LED de "bonne qualité". J'espère que j'ai fait le bon choix. J'espère vraiment… (et ne me parlez pas des LED chinoises à 5 balles, on a déjà vu les résultats…)
Ils sont compatibles avec tous les véhicules ? (J'ai une vieille bécane…)
C'est là que ça se corse. Il faut *vraiment* vérifier la compatibilité avant d'acheter ! Regardez le type d'ampoule de votre voiture (H4, H7, etc.). C'est écrit dans le manuel. Ou vous pouvez chercher sur internet.
